katelyn & cameron
APRIL 13, 2024
Dallas, Texas
Our Story
It all started in the summer of 2016. Katelyn, a recovering sorority social chair, decided to gather 30 of her closest friends for the Rangers vs. Red Sox game. But this wasn’t just a regular trip to the ballpark. This was 30 people (and probably equally as many coolers) on a bus, group tickets in the nosebleeds at the old Ballpark in Arlington, with a first pitch at 8:05 p.m. on a Saturday night. Cameron, an avid sports fan who loves a good party, was invited by some friends to join. But he wasn’t just there for the baseball. Cameron was told the hostess was single, and he wanted to get to know her.
There was never a dull moment that evening (if you know, you know), but despite the distractions and a little stress, Katelyn and Cameron found themselves seated next to each other and began to talk. They enjoyed their time together enough for Katelyn to invite Cameron to a pool party the next day and he finally asked her out on a date… on a Facebook call. Against her better judgement (who calls someone on Facebook?) Katelyn said yes.
Cameron took Katelyn to Eno’s Pizza Tavern in Bishop Arts a couple of weeks later for their first date. Fast forward seven years later and that would be the neighborhood they would begin the rest of their life together.
